Sculptor Jon Lee Steel fashions stone, bronze, wood and other media. His
inspirations range from dynastic Egypt to enigmatic life impressions and portrayals of the natural and spiritual worlds.
He is a member of the foundry metal casting
team at The Crucible, the established foundry and industrial arts centre in Oakland, California.
He also fashions smaller wearable sculptures in gold and silver.
He resides, works and explores amongst the stone chips, wax drippings,
bronze filings, and foundry smoke in the Oakland Hills of Northern California.
